After training as a sound and lighting technician and working on various freelance music, sound, and theater projects, Luis Schöffend completed the “Film Sound/Sound Design” program at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, where he specialized in foley. Since 2015, he has been one of the founders of Neckarstudios, a recording studio collective specializing in film sound/film music.

Luis Schöffend works mainly as a foley artist on animated, scenic and documentary films, games, radio plays, and occasionally also for theater and live stage performances.
