Almut Schwacke has been working as a freelance foley artist, sound designer, and composer since 2005.
After studying sound engineering at the Berlin University of the Arts, she fell head over heels in love with the profession of foley, more or less by chance. Since then, she has been rustling, clattering, and creaking wherever it contributes to a story, preferably live on stage or in interactive settings.
In addition to game credits ranging from AAA titles like Anno 1800 and Dead Island 2 to indie games like Through the Darkest of Times and the squirrel mystery NUTS, she has performed with TKKG and The Three Investigators, held Foley and sound workshops at schools and universities, and given numerous talks with live foley performances on stage.
