After training as a sound and lighting technician, and working on various freelance music, sound and theatre projects, Luis Schöffend studied “Film Sound and Sound Design” at the Film academy in Baden-Württemberg, where he specialized in synchronous noise (“Foley”).
After graduating in 2015, he was one of the co-founders of the sound studio collective “Neckarstudios” near Ludwigsburg. He has worked as a freelance Foley artist and sound designer for all kinds of films (animated, functional and documentaries), which have won numerous awards.
The main focus of his work is creating Foley for functional and documentary films. In addition, he designs the sound for animated films and games.
Luis can also occasionally be seen live on stage as a Foley artist.
